Hi All,

I am using Vista Business and have downloaded the latest WMDC.
Everything Syncs fine however, Pocket Excel files and word files are not
converted so I cannot read them in Excel / Word 2007.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

WM5.0 onwards Word Mobile & Excel Mobile save their files in native desktop
format. I would assume since the file convertors are not available it will
not convert the documents. I would suggest you open the files in question on
your device and use Tools -> Save Document As option to save them in the
Word 97/2000 document format. This should enable you to read your documents
on the desktop.

Note: This would create copies of the original file in the new format.

Hi Raj,

I have discovered that if you save the document in compatibillity mode, it
will sync to the device.
The proble I had was tring to sync a file on my IPAQ, that was created
before the upgrade which did not work.

I got around it by using an XP PC.

However, just tried your method and it was fine.

Many thanks. Another work around found well done!
