WMDC will no longer sync my iPaq

Hi,

About a week ago sync. stopped working. Vista plays "connect sound",
but both iPAQ and PC think the device is offline. I tryed to hard reset
device, but still the same (exept that I now have to reinstall, and
re-setup).
I have tryed another craddle, same ****..
I tryed to do a firmware upgrade to newest version 1.21, but also no
connection on that level.
Sync. with outlook stopped, network connectivity stopped.

My wild guess is a securityfix or so.

Vista ultimate 32bit. HP iPAQ HW6510.

Anyone who knows of a solution ?

Well, I suppose I got You there :-)

I contacted HP, and they helped me solve the problem.
I had to download newest MWDC software (ver. 6.1), and install. I do
not know if it was the reinstall or the new (or old ?) version, but it
helped.
We are now connected again - iPaq and PC.

Hi, group.

Well... Download newest version (6.1) and reinstall solved the problem.
I don't know if it was the (re ?)install, or a new version that did the
trick.

(Re)installing WMDC ver 6.1 solved the problem - until today. Yesterday
microsoft sent out new security patches. I will return to my original
theori that this is the cause of the problem.
