WMDC, Vista, WM6.1 and Drive Letters

Does anyone know a way to get Vista to assign a drive letter to my HTC Touch
Cruise when it is connected to the PC using USB? At present all I see in
Windows Explorer is the name of the device but no drive letter. Disk
Management doesn't help either as that doesn't show the phone.
I need to get a drive letter assigned so I can use some update software for
McGuider. TeleAtlas have just said to set the device to connect without WMDC
but I cannot find a way of doing this yet.

Regards

Cheers. I have requested TA to write the program to support WMDC in future
as HTC also confirmed it isn't possible on my device. Knowing TA they will
try and blame anyone but themselves.
In the meantime I will continue to use my card reader as I always have been.
