Just an FYI, the new GDI32.DLL has major problems, at least
on my system:

3GHz P4 Northwood
Abit IC7-G motherboard
Windows 2000 SP4

After applying the patch my MPEG encoder card (Hauppauge
PVR-150) no longer works. All programs that use it (Dscaler,
SageTV etc along with Hauppauge's own WinTV2000 app)
display the same problems: frozen video and no audio on all
channels.

I sure wish MS would have tested this just a little more before
releasing it.

Thanks, but all Hauppauge drivers and apps are at current
versions.

MS's 912919 patch hoses my system.

But did you reinstall the drivers?

That patch as extensively tested.
But 1--% testing is never possible.
Another possibility is there was already a pre-existing problem on the
computer.

Tom

If there was a serious fault in the patch, we would all have problems..
eminently, we don't..

uhuh, and that is why people where I work are having problems booting up
after a global push of this patch.
I'll bet they pulled it off all the 3000 machines by now, as they could not
possibly risk losing that kind of revenue due to not being able to work.

I am seeing and hearing about many people having problems.

More though with updates and installer, so I'm betteing that if all these
people who don't know about updates not working (because the auto is
silent), they would be having problems with the patch, too.

You just don't get it.
You live in a can.
