Normally you can see your processor type, speed and total memory on the
system properties page. I had a problem recently where it said no info
available. You'll find a lot on this subject if you Google WMI corruption. I
was never able to repair it using the methods mentioned in support articles
but did finally find out what caused it and was able to fix it.
I have a Gateway 21" wide screen monitor. The driver disk installs "EzTune".
I didn't want the app, just the driver so I uninstalled EzTune. After doing
so system properties no longer showed my processor type, speed, and amount
of RAM. I had to re-install EzTune to fix the problem.
I just wanted to post this in case anyone else had a related problem.
Hope it saves someone grief.
