WMP 11--Can't access online content or find album information

I have WMP 11 on Vista Home Premium. If I try to access the online stores or
if I go into my library and try to use the "find album information" feature,
it won't connect to the internet. My internet connection is setup and
working fine, but WMP doesn't seem to recognize it. Incidentally, these
features used to work, I believe when I just had internet explorer--I now use
Firefox as my default browser, though the connection itself hasn't changed.

Any ideas??

First. I suggest not using the album find option... it is full of junk
files...

Best option is look it up online and then rename the files by hand

Second- have you checked your network setting on WMP?

I have the same problem. First happened on my desk-top, but lap-top was OK.
Now both of them are affected. It's a worm or virus? How can I go back to my
WMP 10?

Are you able to surf the web normally with Internet Explorer? Try
temporarily disabling the firewall, and see if that enables you to use
Find Album Info again.
