WMP 11 Online Stores & Check for Updates don't work.

Hi all,

Good day. When I click on the "Online Stores" next to the Sync button the
screen "No Available Online Store", There are no online stores available for
your location" appears. I'm in Malaysia by the way. If being here means that
I can't use the service then what should I do in order for me to able to do
so? (besides moving out of Malaysia) I tried going to the media guide website
and opening it in WMP 11 (Ctrl+U) however it did not work at all.

Also I can't click "Check for Updates" under the help menu bar in WMP 11.
Please help..

Extra notes: The version I'm using is 11.0.6002.18005

If you have an internet connection,then any & all of the internet should
be available...Try in WMP,tools,options,chk the box "connect to the
internet",
maybe edit other tabs also,exit when thru.To update,click on "Help" select
"chk for updates"....

Hi Andrew,

I've checked that box and I still get the same message "No Available Online
Store", There are no online stores available for your location". I've even
changed the system locale to English (Malaysia) for everything under the
regional settings except the keyboard as there was only English US or English
UK of which I chosed English US.

Hi Andrew, I fixed my own problem. Thanks for your help I guess. To everyone
else, in order for Media Guide to work at Control Panel > Regional and
Language Option > Administrative > Change System Locale > English (United
States)

Take note that your current format may need to be English (United States)
however your location can be set at elsewhere.
