When I play an .mp3 file on WMP 11 on Vista the song always skips about 20
seconds before the song ends. Does anyone know why this is and if it is a
bug?

Search the group for dell drivers. You'll find the link for updated Dell
drivers that fix the problem.

I too am having the same problem. About five seconds from song's end, it skips for about 2 seconds.

I have this exact same problem. Exactly 20 seconds from the end of each song
the audio breaks up for about a second.

My new Dell was delivered on 19 April. If Dale is correct, why is Dell still
delivering faulty audio drivers?

I downloaded Winamp and it plays perfectly without a problem the very same
..wma files. Does that mean Winamp is using its own special drivers?

In other posts in this forum I found a solution:
* Click Start- Control Panel- Sound
* Right click on the Speaker/Headphones icon and choose properties
* Click on the "enhancements" tab
* Select the "Disable all enhancements" check box
* When finished, restart the PC

It should take about ten minutes to check if Dale is correct - is he?
What does Dell say about this issue?

My Dell PC was delivered on 12th June 2007 and STILL there is a problem
with songs skipping at the end using WMP 11 with Vista. I downloaded
and installed the suggested driver from Dell but that did not work. I
then tried turning off enchancements but the only problem with that is
I lose 5.1 surround sound. I don't want to lose 5.1 surround because it
sounds absolutely fantastic.

Are there any other suggestions which would solve this problem?

In the meantime I will look on Dell community to see if I can find a
solution.
