WMP 11, white screen

I am not sure how this started, but anything I play in WMP is like the
brightness is all the way up. It doesnt matter what video I am playing, or
from where (hard drive or DVD) but I can barely see the picture in the
background as the whole screen looks white.

I tried different monitors and same problem, only on WMP. I can view flash
videos and other media, they work fine. Anything I play in WMP looks like a
white out.

While a video is playing, click the little arrow right below the Now
Playing-button at the top, and select Enhancements - Video Settings. In
the pane that appears, is the Brightness slider moved? If necessary,
click Reset to put it back to the center.

The Video Settings do not persist for that very reason (getting locked in a
bad state). =)

I'd more suspect a video card driver issue.
