WMP 12 displaying Traditional Chinese incorrectly

I have just recently installed Windows 7, and WMP 12 came with it. When I
imported my music files into WMP12, the mp3s with Traditional Chinese names
(Title, Contributing artists, Album, etc.) do not display properly--they are
in all sorts of symbols. The weird thing is that the files themselves are
still fine, and the Chinese characters display properly. Even more is that
the navigation panel near the top left of WMP12 (the one that goes |>Library
|> Playlist|> "Album Name") displays the Chinese Album name correctly. I have
the default US version of Windows 7 Professional, and I have enabled Chinese
(Traditional, Taiwan) for the system locale. (In previously version of
Windows, this worked.) I'm stuck. Help?

You may need to report this directly to MS as feedback by going to the WMP
web page. The new version may not have been tested thoroughly enough prior
to release.

I would suggest that you convert the ID3 tags into Unicode (presumably from
Big5). You may want to try Convertz
(http://alf-li.pcdiscuss.com/e_index.html). You will find the particular
functionality under "Audio tag conversion" > "ID3 tag conversion".
