- Advanced Tag Editor is gone. I have over 4000 CDs in my collection that
took me 10 years to rip. Now I'm trying to update the metatags to better
manage my catalog but I can't easily update multiple fields on multiple files
at the same time. Lyrics, multiple album art, title artist vs album artists,
genre, subgenre, language, original artist, original album, comments.

- Syncing to microSD card (to use in my windows mobile 6.5 phone and my
sansa mp3 player), I can config the card to resample to 64 kbps, but it
errors out. You cannot down sample files when syncing. You can go from a
lower to a higher bitrate, but not from a higher to a lower bitrate.

- Still cannot create an autoplaylist with my own specified release date
range such as all music from 1975-1985. How hard can that be? I would also
like to create an autoplaylist for a specific year such as all music from
1983. I want it to be an autoplaylist so that as I update my compilations to
include the correct year for each track, they automatically show up in the
appropriate playlist.

- Still cannot easily modify track year. I have been performing this task
by using the metatag editor in windows explorer but would prefer to see it in
Advanced Tag Editor

I have been a Microsoft guy through and through since DOS 3. I've obtained
many Microsoft Certifications over the years. But for every step microsoft
takes forward, it seems they take two back. I have uninstalled Windows 7 and
will stick with Vista. I am currently looking to return my Windows 7 Home
Premium Family Edition and will be looking to move to a MAC which I have
loathed for years. But at least they seem to get things right when it comes
to finding what their customers want.

All your other complains are perfectly valid I'm afraid

In the library, you can right-click the column header, select Choose
columns, and enable the Release Year-column there. This will allow you
to modify the track year from within the library.
