WMP plays sound on video but not picture

Does anybody know why my WMP only play the sound but not picture when I play
video?? The first picture in the video is shown as a picture (no movements),
but we can hear the sound as normal.
(Sorry for my bad english, but I hope you understand.)

That was very helpful. Now I can see videos again -using MIE.
U see - if I used Opera the WMP worked fine. Fynny??

I was too fast with my answer - it doesn't work properly.
It was a video downloaded by Opera I looked at. If I download videos by
other web browser than MIE, the player works fine???

What type of video are you trying to watch?mpg, avi, divx, ogg , xvid etc?
