WMPLAYER.EXE APPLICATION ERROR

here is the problem.

wmplayer.exe application error
the instruction at 0x6a9210e5 referenced memory
at 0x6a9210e5 the required data was not placed
into memory because of an I/O error status of
0xc0000185.

it then ask me to click o.k. when I do this the computer freezes
and I need to restart manuly the same thing happens time after
time when I use windows media player can anyone help.

the instruction at 0x72d876f1 referenced memory at 0x72d876f1 etc etc.

this post is for wmplayer.exe application error
the instruction at 0x6a9210e5 referenced memory at 0x6a9210e5 etc etc.

I have also posted an explorer.exe application error
the instruction at 0x71902cc5 referenced memory at 0x71902cc5 etc etc.

It is now my understanging that this is an error in the vista filing system
there is no quick fix to the problem, the only way to fix this is if you keep
having the problem is to save all your files and programs to disk and do a
factory restore and just hope windows will address the problem sooner rather
than later. Hope this is of some help. Decko

That pretty specifically means that you are experiencing a hardware failure.
Take it back to the shoppe.

fixed the problem by replacing the hard drive everything is now working fine.
