I am at school and I need to update my windows...i read the blogs about
possible solutions but I don't have the Hi-Speed Internet but rather the
cable service they have here at school. WHAT TO DO NOW? Help greatly
needed. Thanks!

You have not given any details other than you have cable internet access.

Cable is high-speed.
What is your problem? Cannot use the windowsupdate.microsoft.com site?

yea i cant use the windows update site...everything seems to work alright and
then an error page from microsoft...says there is an error on the page...i
dont know specifically what kind of (name) network but it is cable.

What version of Windows are you using?
(Windows XP? Home or Professional Edition? Service pack level?)
(Start --> Run and type in :
WINVER
and click OK. Give us the first two lines of text including "Microsoft
Windows".)

How much other maintenance do you perform on your computer? (Se the list of
tips below for the normal maintenance tasks yu should be performing.)

How does your computer hook to the network? Meaning is it a Category 5
cable that plugs into the wall or into a router/modem of some sort? Etc..

Can you visit other sites (like http://office.microsoft.com/)?

Does your school provide you with a local Windows Software Update Server
(WSUS) that you know of?

Just as a matter of interest don't you have any teachers at this
school who can help?
