Won't boot from CD

I simply cannot get Windows Vista to Home Premium to boot from a CD. With
all the Linux promoting and bashing that goes on here, I'm almost afraid to
admit that I occasionally play with it and I need to be able to run it from
a CD. It was no problem with XP but I've had no success since upgrading. I
have entered the boot menu and asked it politely. Any suggestions? Thanks.
