So, you've had it one day, screwed around with the registry, and only
you know what else, and now you're not happy with Vista. I wonder why?
What codec package, and from where, did you download it? Were you having
trouble running programs (.exe files) prior to trying to install this
download? Did you scan the downloaded package for possible virus or malware?
Have you considered that you may have to do a clean install to get it
running properly again if your downloaded package contained a virus or
other malware?
If all else fails, take/send it back to where you bought it and have
them set it up for you again.
