Won't stop installing KB823353

In windows update it wants to keep on installing KB823353. I have installed
it many times. Restart, Rebooted and shut down system many times. It also
says it has been downloaded and ready to install.

Please help..

This is getting to be a pain.

Hi,

If you have the security update KB897715 (MS05-030) installed,
it could be caused by that.

Temporarily uninstall KB897715 (from Add/Remove Programs), and see if
KB823353 (MS04-018) installs successfully. Then install KB897715 again.

I had found KB897715 on online update history but not inside Add/Remove
Programs of Windows 2000 Professional SP4 machine.

Then I uninstall all possible others KB from Add/Remove Programs and
reinstalling everything. the KB823353 get itself installed and now they
switch to another KB number with the same update as "Cumulative Security
Update for Outlook Express 6 Service Pack 1 (KB837009)".

Is Microsoft aware of this and get this to be fix? Or they expect everyone
to reinstall Windows and come to the stage to let KB897715 before the rest?

Microsoft is really annoying.
