Wont Sync All information types

I have searched thru the postings and cannot find a similar problem:

MSActivesync will not sync each information type each time.

What I mean is when the PDA is reset (soft reset), or when my laptop is
restarted, Activesync will default and only sync favorites and files. I
must go to options and select the other types; contacts, calendar, notes
each time. After I do that, it syncs properly...but as soon as we reset
again, or even reboot the laptop, it reverts to the default again.

I have uninstalled MSActivesync, reinstalled, upgraded to 3.8, and even done
a hard reset on the PDA. I have also deleted the partnership ,and renamed
the partnership. No luck...
