Word and Powerpoint 2007 errors and Vista SP1

After installing Vista (Home Premium Edition) SP1, Word and Powerpoint (2007)
fail to close properly about 90% of the time. No data is lost but both
indicate that the program failed to close properly , checking for errors,
retarting Word / powerpoint etc.
Running Office Diagnostics results in all diagnostics passing and no problem
being detected.
Has anyone seen this problem?

Have you done error checking on the drive? Defrag?

GVB:

I'd use that free Microsoft tech support for SP1 that's available.
Here's the link:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...4&gprid=500921

I hope this helps.

Disk error checking was part of the Office diagnostic set although I'm not
sure how comprehensive that is. I will run the defragger to see if that
helps.

Thanks for the support site link. I just submitted the problem to the
support site. BTW, I defragged the disk per the previous suggestion but
unfortunately that didn't help.
