Is there an app similar to wordpad that can store window size and position
for each file. I'm using it like a stick-it note. One file may contain to do
list, which I size to a small window since each line is very short, another
file may contain rebates status which would have a wider window, etc.

EditPad Lite

Do not know. But (generally speaking) EditPad Lite will probably work
much better than the newest WordPad POS. Seems Microsoft is still
fixated on making everything like Netscape Navigator.

One difference is undo and redo. Redo is Ctrl+r instead of Ctrl+y, but
that that makes more sense anyway IMO since you do not have to switch
hands. And it apparently EditPad does not corrupt files like WordPad
does.

Not sure if this will suit you or not, but I use a program called
"rainlendar" (Google "rainy"). It has a built in to do list and reminder
app that can be programmed to stay on the desktop all the time. Also, check
out the sidebar gallery online there may be a gadget that will do the same.

To me it sounds like you would benefit from obtaining a proper sticky notes
application. Search for "stickies" or "post-its" with your favourite search
engine, there is a handful of programs to choose from.

Personally I prefer the freeware from Zhorn, it is simple and makes my
computer desktop look just as cluttered and disorganised as post-its used to
do on my rl desk. Can't work without them. :-)

That sounds just right for me :-)

It turns out that I needed to make room on my desk (the one with legs) a
couple of days ago, so now all of my post-its are in one (rather thick)
pile now; the two sizes are intermixed.

I did it without even compromising my organization :-)
