Help!
is there a way to turn off the "feature"within Vista Basic that changes my
words as well as jumping around while im typing?

I would guess there is a toolbar app running with the Mic on, called the
"Language Bar", or perhaps you are talking about a spell checker.

Run System Restore to a time before the problem began.

If no joy - Consider this: Whenever a new error condition appears on your
computer, it is almost certain that there was some change to the computer
soon before the problem began. http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

will I need to run complete backups? I bought the pc with the software
already loaded..it has done it since day one, where would I find the original
install date,

No, not with SR. You would need to backup if you ran System Recovery.

You don't need the original install date to run SR.
