work around for problems with v5 update

I have worked on this issue for a while and so far no one
has had any answers. I found something that worked for
me so I hope it can help you. Window update v4 page is
still working all you have to do is type in the following
link to get to it. (the problem I was having is that
window update v5 would not go passed the checking for
updates screen)

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...g/en/default.a
sp

Click on window update in the left hand pane under "See
Also". Then run windows update like normal.

I hope this helps any one who needs it.

No, i'm not using SUS client, but I am going through IIS
and a firewall. I was being to wonder if that had
something to do with it.

I have the same problem but when I went to the v4 link it says page not
availible
what else can I do thanks.

did you type the address the same way you saw it? I just
checked the site and I am able to still get to it.
