I Would Like to Make a Suggestion.

I would like to make a suggestion, but in the New post drop-down it only
gives me options of Question or General Comment. In the IE General
Discussions Group, their New post drop-down menu contains the Suggestion
option as well as the other two, why doesn't this Discussion Group have the
same options?

Why? What good does that do?
Just suggest something!

A suggestion is a general comment!

I made the Suggestion in the form of a Question. Without the Suggestion
option in the drop-down menu for a New post, the group doesn't get the
opportunity to vote on the Suggestion where a lot of yes votes MS would
listen to the suggestion. This is what happens on the IE Discussion site. I
suggest MS make this same option available on this discussion group.

Programming isn't a democratic process, it can't be. It doesn't matter how
many votes a suggestion gets.

This is standard throughout the industry, and most notably open source where
the process is more open.

It'd be like deciding the sex of a fish by democratic vote, it doesn't
matter what the popular opinion is.

I think with modern cytogenetic techniques we can predetermine the sex of a
fish, or even a person. We could do this by democratic vote.

Heheh, true enough.

Still wouldn't trust 200 people to make the right vote after the fish is
already hatched.
