I would like to reformat Hard drive by installing XP again

I have some problem with my PC and I would like to reformat the hard drive
and install Microsoft Windows XP professional back again. Now I have service
pack 2 but the CD to install Microsoft Windows XP professional is the old one
of service pack 1. I put the CD in my drive and start the PC. When I get to
the window to press 8 for "I agree" it does not work but when I press ESC to
get out of the installation it works.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Since you are starting over, choose the option to delete the partition.
This will totally eliminate any remnants of the original installation.
