wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment

Hi please someone help I am using Windows XP home and I don't know how long
its been like this but when I try to go into User Accounts I get this message
and it won"t do anything - wrong number of arguments or invaild property
assignments what does that mean??????? also I thought I would System Restore
maybe that would help but no there is nothing there at all , go into System
Restore and I get a blank page?? I am trying to install Active X controlls -
nothing trying to down load macromedia flash - no can't do that have some
little box that seens to block it ??? help I'm not all that computer freindly
but can follow instructions ...thanks to any one that can help

Hi Cazza,

Others have reported symptoms similar to those that you describe after
having installed the October update KB896688. The Resolution for this appears
in this MSKB article:

ActiveX controls may not load as expected in Internet Explorer due to
defense in depth changes introduced in cumulative security update 896688
(MS05-052)

Patti,

I have the same problem as Cazza, but when I followed your instructions the
problem remained. I hope you still have access to this thread and can help
