How tough is it to install BITS 2.0, dotnet Frameork 2.0 then the WSUS 3.0
onto an internal storage disk, not the system disk (D with 25GB instead of C
with 12GB)?

I have SBS 2003 SP1.

Also, can I remove the old SUS before installing WSUS and the old updates
that went along wiht it?

Right pew, wrong church. Forwarded to WSUS newsgroup
(microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services) via crosspost as a
convenience to OP.

BITS and .NET are part of the operating system and can only live on the system
disk. I don't think you can move the WSUS code either, but the database and the
content store can be put on the alternate drive.

Note that even 25GB is marginal for WSUS. You'll need to be a bit careful about
what you approve, and make sure you decline old updates and use the cleanup
wizard regularly.

Harry.

And only subscribe to the languages you need.
My WSUS 2.0 content is 3.7GB today but was about 20GB a week ago because the
cleanup job had been failing since I change the password. After running the
cleanup job the content dropped to just under 3GB. The database stays about
1.5GB

There are 10 type of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.
