So this is my first time with working with WSUS. I have WSUS installed using
port 8530 (port 80 has WAMP installed for web tests)

I installed WSUS 3.0 a few days ago on our W2K3 server. I opened Update
Services on the server (I also installed the client on my PC to view WSUS) I
set up the Synchronization, a few computer groups, and Email Notifications.

I took a test PC and changed the GP to point to the WSUS 3 server. So far
the test pc is not pulling the updates from the server, and WSUS does not see
it either.

Here is what clientdiag.exe listed:

WSUS Client Diagnostics Tool

Checking Machine State
Checking for admin rights to run tool . . . . . . . . . PASS
Automatic Updates Service is running. . . . . . . . . . PASS
Background Intelligent Transfer Service is running. . . PASS
Wuaueng.dll version 5.8.0.2469. . . . . . . . . . . . . PASS
This version is WSUS 2.0
Checking AU Settings
AU Option is 4: Scheduled Install . . . . . . . . . . . PASS
Option is from Policy settings
Checking Proxy Configuration
Checking for winhttp local machine Proxy settings . . . PASS
Winhttp local machine access type
<Direct Connection>
Winhttp local machine Proxy. . . . . . . . . . NONE
Winhttp local machine ProxyBypass. . . . . . . NONE
Checking User IE Proxy settings . . . . . . . . . . . . PASS
User IE Proxy. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NONE
User IE ProxyByPass. . . . . . . . . . . . . . NONE
User IE AutoConfig URL Proxy . . . . . . . . . NONE
User IE AutoDetect
AutoDetect not in use
Checking Connection to WSUS/SUS Server
WUServer = http://rrnt17/
WUStatusServer = http://rrnt17/
UseWuServer is enabled. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PASS
Client is pointed to SUS 1.0 Server
WinHttpDownloadFileToMemory(szURLDest, NULL, 0, NULL, NULL, NULL,
&downloadBuffe
r) failed with hr=0x80190194
The requested URL does not exist on the server.

Does the selfupdate folder have a web.config file? I did look in IIS and saw
that the selfupdate folder was the only folder that did not have the
web.config file.

Any idea on what might be wrong?

Thanks!

Nope, no idea. Best to post this issue to the WSUS newsgroup:
