New completed install. Received updates from upstream server.
No computers show in any of the computer folders with a status of any.

In What's New for WSUS 3 it lists.

WSUS 3.0 server platforms - native support for x64 and x86 operating systems
(does not support windows on windows)

Does windows on windows mean a virtual server child?

Right pew, wrong church. Forwarded to WSUS newsgroup
(microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services) via crosspost as a
convenience to OP.

On the web:

Most likely causes:
- Improperly configured or misapplied group policies
- Clients are not able to communicate with the WSUS Server (usually due
to improperly configured or misapplied group policies)

No... "Windows on Windows" is the name given to the scenario where you're
running a 32-bit application on a 64-bit operating system.

If you're old enough to remember.. kinda like running WordPerfect v5.1 on
Windows 95.
(excpet back then it was 16-bit apps on a 32-bit operating system).
