WSUS 3.0 with SQL2005 Sp3

Hi,

Our DBA want to upgrade all the SQL 2005 server to service pack 3.
We are using WSUS 3.0.600.374, does it support SQL 2005 sp3?

Uh... not likely -- but nobody really knows. My guess would be it's never
been tested, since support for WSUS 3 RTW ran out before SQL 2005 SP3 was
released.

My *first* suggestion is that you apply WSUS 3 Service Pack 1 to your WSUS
Server, and verify it's still working with the SQL 2005 (SP1 | SP2) that's
currently installed.

Then your DBA can apply Service Pack 2 to the SQL Server 2005 back-end.

SQL 2005 Service Pack 3 works perfectly on a WSUS3SP1 system.

WSUS 3 Release is build 3.0 and distributes WUA v7.0.
WSUS 3 SP1 is build 3.1 and distributes WUA v7.1
WSUS 3 SP2 (RC) is build 3.2 and distributes WUA v7.4
