Hi there,

2 questions:
1. Is it possible to allow non-administrators to initiate the installation
without the possibility to deselect single updates in the custom installation
dialog?

2. And, is it also possible to enforce installation after a given period of
time or a number of declined installations?

We want to allow our users to decline the installation, but we want to limit
it to a given time or a configurable number of tries.

Thx

No.

Set a deadline on the updates (from the WSUS admin console), and
they will install when the deadline is reached even if they are
declined/hidden.

Note that when an update is installed caused by reaching the deadline,
it will be installed exclusive (no other updates will be installed
together with it). That means if you have many updates where the
deadlines are expired, and you connect a computer that is missing
those updates to the WSUS server, you are in for many install / reboot
/ install / reboot cycles. So my suggestion is that you remove the
deadline configuration from an update e.g. one month after the
deadline expired to avoid this.
