I have WSUS in a domain environment. All my clients are pointed thru group
policy to install the patches at 12:00PM. It works fine for most of the PC's
except some Windows 2000(SP4) PC's, the event log says it is scheduled for
install on tomorrow at 12:00. The next day it again says scheduled for
tomorrow. It never installs and no restart popup even the PC remains on at
12:00PM

Whats wrong with the PC?

Right pew, wrong church. Forwarded to WSUS newsgroup
(microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services) via crosspost as a
convenience to OP.

Please post the %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log for the events starting at
12:00pm local time.

Also... "..the event log says it is scheduled for install..".. WHAT is
scheduled for install?

Entries in the event logs would be on a per-update basis, so what update(s)
are scheduled for installation?

The logfile will tell us what's happening during the installation event,
but, generally, rescheduling an update for installation at the next
event is an indication that the installation attempt =failed=.
The key question would be to determine WHY the installation failed.
