WSUS - connecting to microsoft.com?

I have one client (out of 1,000) that is having a problem connecting to
our internal wsus server. I just stopped and restarted the automatic
updates service and I am receiving a strange error. I understand what
the error means but I don't understand WHY wsus is sending this client
to microsoft.com? This user/machine does not have access to the
internet, nor should it to receive wsus updates. Any ideas???
