wsus error 80244019/80070057

I'm getting these errors in my windowsupdate.log on some computers and they
don't go into the wsus computer repository. the computers aren't set up in
any way different to the ones that work and they are in the same OU's, have
the policies applied and as far as I can see there is no reason why they
wouldn't work.

Can anyone shed any light on these errors?

This is a standard http code 404 "object not found"....

Are you behind a proxy server?

however the client shouldn't be needing to use the proxy to talk to the wsus
server which is on the same network internally.

if you have installed URLScan perhaps is blocking
access to *.exe files.
