Is there a way to tell how much free space the chosen updates in WSUS will
require on the target servers? I would like to make sure the servers have
enough free space before allowing WSUS to push the updates out.

Thank You

So far as I'm aware Microsoft does not usually document minimum free space
requirements for routine updates. However, you should always aim to keep a
reasonable amount of free space available on your system drives, which will
ensure that updates can install successfully. As a rule of thumb, I'd be
concerned if there was significantly less than a gigabyte free on the system
drive of a server. (Most updates will probably require less than 100Mb to
install successfully.)

Note that service packs are a special case, they require significantly more free
space than normal updates. Disk space requirements for service packs are
usually documented.

Harry.
