WSUS Reporting

Is there any information on how WSUS 3.0 reporting works (other than how to
configure)?

If I clean up / delete stale machines on the replica server, will the
reporting server know about the deletes and if so, when?

How often does the reporting server get information?

Does it poll the replicas or do the replicas report up the to the reporting
server?
