It means that there are certain updates required by the client systems that
ensure they're capable of fully functioning in a WSUS environment. The most
recent of these was an update to the Package Installer a couple of years
ago; the original was the update to WinHTTP/BITS for XP systems.

Yet, your servers do need these updates; however, from a practical
perspective they're probably already installed.
