Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2003 computer that no longer is able to perform
automatic updates. The last successful automatic update was June 16, 2006.

Using other postings, I've located the WindowsUpdate.log file and found the
following entries:

"Warning: WU client fails to call back to search call with error 8007000e"

Can anyone tell me what this means and how I proceed to fix the problem?

As a side note, I tried to install the java runtime and that seems to fail
as well (although it says it completed successfully, it only copies a few
files and quits prematurely). Afterwards, I see several msiexec processes
hanging around in the process list. Weird - I wonder if they are related to
IE somehow being hosed up.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Jim

Is there anyone out there that can suggest a troubleshooting procedure to
track down this problem?

Thanks for any help,
Jim
