I have been getting this error whenever I went to WU. Well today I finally
got through without this error. I am running SP1, ZA and Norton's 2003 ( I
always disable Norton's before going to WU. I just happened to check on Win
XP's firewall and found it was enabled. I do not know how it again became
enabled as I had previously disabled it as I use ZA. Anyway I again
disabled it. I also found that ZA would ask for numerous permissions for
SVHost (sp?) to run. This time when asked I allowed all to run. Whatever I
did I can now successfully get through with no errors. I am just posting
what I did (Not really to computer "Smart") and maybe it will help someone
resolve their problem.

In my previous post I referred to "SVHost" and the proper name is "Generic
Host Process 32 for Win Services. I think that this is what caused the
error in WU. I would enable Generic Host Process 32 for Win Services twice
when ZA ask to run it. The third time I would deny access to it. Here is
where (I think) I made my mistake. I know that my email and I.E. require
this process to be running. I guess WU also require it. Maybe this will
help someone else who has this problem.
