WU has offered Office 2003 SP3 but not Windows SP3

As the title states, Windows Update has listed the Office 2003 SP3 update
for installation. At this time, I have not received the download for Windows
XP SP3.

Should the Office update be done before the Windows SP3 or does it not
matter? I was going to put SP3 on first (either when it was offered, or
download it explicity) and then the Office update. Now I am not sure.

Please advise.

Office 2003 SP3 was released MONTHS before Windows XP SP3 and have no
relationship other than being created by the same parent company.

Public release dates:

Office 2003 SP3: 9/17/2007
Windows XP SP3: 5/6/2008

I am aware of the rerequisites for installing the Windows SP3 patch. Do I
need to take the same care over installing Office SP3 as I will have to when
I install Windows SP3 - or are the Office updates just simple updates? I
normally turn off my antivirus before performing MS Updates anyway.

You should take care when installing any updates, and no updates are
"simple" (especially Service Packs), but *very* generally speaking, no.
(YMMV)
