Can anyone help me with this update? I can download it, but when the computer
tries to restart I get an text only message; windows could not upgrade the
file %1 %2 I've tried everything and cannot resolve. ms support was even
baffled and advised me that I don't need it. I'm not so sure.
I am running windows me on a gateway machine.

I have the same problem
Suppress the c:\WUTemp directory. So the messages : windows could not
upgrade the file %1 %2" wil disappear. But the KB883939 will not be
applied.
Sorry i'am also waiting the solution.
