wuaclt.exe error

Since updating to latest release of win auto update package, can no longer
perform updates on Win2000 Pro machine. Site loads fine, can get list of
needed updates, but when try to begin install, explorer crashes with generic
error machine. If try to use update via Task bar, get wuaclt.exe error.
Same if try via control panel. Only way to update successfully is to manually
find the files in Downloads on MS site and download/install them one at a
time.
