Hello all,
I need a little help. I am no longer able to use the updates in
Vista. the registry entry for wuauserv no longer exists. I try to use
the cmd line "sc create wuauserv" to reinstall this registry key,
although it is not complete. How can I reinstall this?

Go to Start.
In the search bar, type in CMD.
At the top of the pane, rt/click on CMD, and run as Administrator.
In the CMD window, type in.....SFC /scannow.(note the space C /).
The system will do a System File Check, and rectify any errors it finds.
Hope this helps.
bw..

I tried the verification, and it states that the "Windows Resource
Protection did not find any integrity violations" Thanks for the tip.
What I am trying to learn is how to reinstall the wuauserv (windows
automatic update service) For one reason or another, it was removed from
my list of services, and I tried the "sc create wuauserv" command line,
and there are some other values that I do not know that are missing from
the command line.

Try this.

Click on Start and select System Configuration
from the Administrative Tools menu.

If you have User Account Control turned on,
you will need to select Continue.

In System Configuration, select the Services tab.

Scroll down, and enable the Windows Update service.
