So when is the Windows Live team planning on supporting the 64bit operating
systems with the Windows Live Suite?
I have been using several of the apps in beta and they installed just fine
but now they don’t seem to even want to install.
Both Live Writer and Messenger seem to be effected here but I guess it is
the entire suite.

I have Vista 64 Ultimate and have had no problem installing the entire Live
suite.

I have Windows XP x64 and every time I try to run the Live suite installer
it tells me that it will not install on my OS. Seems odd.

Greetings,

Yeah, they don't support XP 64-bit or Windows Server versions with the Live Installer.

Try directly from the MSI file:

how to use Messenger on Windows x64 prof.

go to control panel
add / remove software
windows components
add msn messenger
he will install msn 4.7
http://status.messenger.msn.com/Help/Upgrades.aspx
get msn 5.x for windows 95 )

http://g.msn-int.com/7MEEN_US/EN/95/SETUP95.EXE

install
it will run easily with a little lack of functions to newer version but still work... contacts will be loaded from the passport offline messages are possible too.

a real pity of microsoft to support vista x64 not either xp x64 for msn.... shame upon you ... i woulndt matter me even if you just would publish a x32 version of msn just to make it running.

greets to the MSN team...
