XP 64 Updates and sound

I have evaluation copy of XP 64 and it will not let me update just keeps
giving error message, also since I installed it my comp says that i have no
sound device preseant, and i cant figure how to fix that please help

There are not and most likely not be any updates for the evaluation (Beta)
versions.
You should take all your questions to the 64 bit newsgroups:

The server newsgroup is correct.
