I have read all the posts in the Vista networking group, as well as Technet
info online, and still have a problem.

One computer is running Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Second computer is running XP SP 2.

On the Vistaa machine, the other computer is not showing on the network.

On the XP machine, the Vista computer is shown, however when trying to show
shared folders, I get a message that the Vista computer is not available or
that I might not have proper permissions.

On the Vista machine, Private network, with Sharing and Discovery tuened on,
password protection turned off.

LLTD protocol is installed on both machines.

I am at my wit's end as too what to do next. Hopefully, one of you experts
have come across a solution.

Thanks in advance....

Check your anti-virus firewall settings.
Run XP's Network wizard to allow file sharing as per instructions below to
network XP and Vista!

Thanks. Took your advice, as well as some other "tweaking" and 99% of issues
are resolved.
