I keep going around in circles. My TRV340E camera used to work on firewire
but now it can't. XP comes up with FOund NEw Harware and identifies it as
looking for the Sony DV-VCR driver but can't find it. So I downloaded the
driver from Sony and pointed the wizard to it but it still refuses to find it.

Microsoft want $80 to talk with me, tell me to see DELL, Dell has nothing
but thre are blogs around where people have had the same problem.

CAn anyone help me please/ This looks like a Microsoft software problem but
I cannot understand or find a solution on their site.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.. Accept below disclaimer to start the download of the USBDRVEN.EXE file
to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for
reference).
2.. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the
USBDRVEN.EXE file to begin the installation.
3.. Open the Sony_usb folder that was created in the same directory to
which the USBDRVEN.EXE file was downloaded.
4.. Double-click the Setup.exe file.
5.. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Sony USB Driver"
screen, click the Next button.
6.. At the "Information" screen, click the Next button. Please wait as the
files are installed.
7.. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I
want to restart my computer now." is selected and click the Finish button.
8.. After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony USB Driver
is com

Did all of that last night - same result.
Just to check I did it all again just now, ensured the new C:\driver\SonyUSB
folder was now the latest version - still no success.
