Last week I did a hard shut down on my computer thinking it was frozen.
However, it was doing updates and when I restarted my computer it had a
screen indicating and error message in my library. When I try to get on
certain webpages the web shuts down without notice. So, I tried to update
the latest Windows program and it failed to download several programs. The
two error messages are noted in the subject title of this thread. Nowhere in
the list of error messages are these two noted on Windows' website. So, I
try an alternative to resolve my issue. I then installed professional XP to
see if that would repair the issue. Not a chance!! The security update and
Office 2003 service pack 3 would not install. They are the only 2 things
that fail each and every time.
I would love to have my computer back the way it was before the whole hard
shut down. There was never a problem. Now, I can't seem to get it to work
like it use to because of this error message.
Please help!!! From what I remember from the error message is a ".dll"
anchored error and I believe the number was 2808 or 2809. Something around
those numbers. However, the sub-errors which following the main error was
numerous.
Thanks so much
Tanja
