The Hard Drive may be failing. Suggest you visit the HD's or computer's
manufacturer's site and see if there is a diagnostic utility available
to check the HD's 'health'.
*You have backed up the the personal data that you want saved, right ?*
IF the HD checks out OK, then run a chkdsk:

If there is only one partition or unpartitioned Hard Drive, then run it
from a Command Prompt with the following command:
chkdsk /r
