XP Home Repeatedly fails to install updates when restarted

I dont know what to do any more someone please help... i have had this
problem for a long time now... 8 or 9 months, so here's the problem. my PC
installs everything fine then when it goes to restart to finish the
installation, 3 of 3 (unknown) updates fail everytime (i cant remove them, i
cant finish them, cant do nothing but watch them fail everytime i restart my
PC) I just want it to stop showing me this. i dont care weather the updates
are deleted or installed i just want my start-up screen to stop showing "3 of
3 updates failed".

Assuming Vista (not Vista SP1), see...

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the
computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista:
