XP home with SP2 abends in ALCXWDM.SYS

After I updated to SP2, my machine abends in the Audio Realtech driver above.
It happens one or two times a day. I get a blue panel, and have no more
contact to the machine, so I have to use the stop button. Once I even had to
remove the batteri to shut down.

My machine is a Medion MD41700 with XP home and updated drivers. There are
two available Audio Realtech drivers, and I have tried with both. Medion
helpdesk has no good peaces of advice - except to uninstall SP2.

Does anyone have the same problem? Any god peaces of advise?

I forgot to mention, that I also installed KB885626 on top of the SP2.

Ok, I gave up and uninstalled SP2, and so the symptoms disappeared on my
machine. There is still a problem in either SP2 or Audio Realtech on my
Medion machine.

No help from either Microsoft or Medion - a little disappointing!
